Overview
OpenLedger is built on the OP Stack, and as with other Optimism-based rollups, it does not support public validator node operation or general-purpose node staking. The security model relies on Ethereum as the settlement layer and utilizes a centralized sequencer initially, consistent with OP Stack infrastructure.
Accordingly,
Asset holders cannot run validator nodes or directly contribute to consensus.
The OpenLedger team does not operate as a validator in a traditional proof-of-stake model, nor through third-party delegation.
OpenLedger Node Infrastructure
The primary validator is a centralized sequencer operated by AltLayer.
Currently, full nodes—used for load balancing and as bootnodes—are maintained by the OpenLedger team.
In the near future, other RPC providers interested in supporting the OpenLedger blockchain will also be able to run their own full nodes to offer RPC services.
